March 8 – March 30, 2025
The Broadwater Mainstage
1076 Lillian Way
Los Angeles, CA 90038
Conceived and Directed by Katharine Noon
Inspired by the mythical character of Circe, The Unraveling centers on an aging Classics professor, who feels increasingly disconnected from her students and the world. After a career killing scandal, she escapes from the society she has come to despise in order to isolate herself on the side of a remote mountain. But her isolation soon comes to an end when a young gamer takes up residence in his deceased mother’s cabin. From there, this clash of generations weaves a story of family, loneliness, love, and friendship.
General Admission is $35 ($20 for students) and Mondays March 10th, 17th and 24th are
pay-what-you-can. The Ghost Road Company could not exist without our
community. Los Angeles has experienced devastating loss in recent months, and in an
effort to support our community we are offering 10 free tickets to every performance to
those affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires. You can use code 91001 or 90272.
“Ghost Road’s ensemble creation presents an amazing and funny and poignant piece of theatre that pretty much defies description. It is Phantasmagorical and Fun! So much fun!… Pure Magic!… Theatre with a Big T!” ✨. – onstagelosangeles
“The Unraveling is a gorgeously magical play, full of music and poetry and the kind of hilarity that can only come from despair. The result of all this superb casting and marvelously inventive storytelling is a play I won’t ever forget. The Unraveling is an unmissable play…unique, heartbreaking, funny, compelling and totally believable.” – NoHo Arts District
“Recommended…Top 10… This production is way too smart to be sentimental and far too sumptuous to permit us to look away.” – Stage Raw
“The stunning special effects will entice you to pay attention to see how isolated and lonely strangers Sharon, Felix, and Penelope learn to appreciate and understand each other to create their own special brand of friendship and family.” – Culver City News
“Ghost Road Theatre’s The Unraveling pulls you into its strange, hypnotic orbit and doesn’t let go. Truly original work with some breathtaking theatrical coups” – Stage and Cinema
